What is an access statement?
An access statement is a written, clear, accurate and above all honest description of our current facilities and access to the property and all rooms, to enable a potential visitor to make an informed decision as to whether our Bed and Breakfast property meets their particular needs.
Trennicks is located at the top of a very narrow lane (Valley Park Lane) off Tregoney Hill. Most cars can travel along the lane without too much trouble, but some drivers can find it difficult.
Entrance to the property from the parking area is through a gate leading to a gentle sloping paved pathway. Visitors staying in the Lighthouse, Seaview and Orchard rooms then descend the 15 paved steps approximately 30cm wide and 15cm deep which lead down to the level paved patio and downstairs front door where there is a 10cm threshold leading into the hallway. The hallway and all three bedrooms have fixed carpeting. All bedrooms have en suite bathrooms with raised shower trays. Breakfast is served on the first floor, accessed by a 14 step fixed carpeted stairway with a fixed banister.
All rooms have the use of several designated patios within the garden. The patios are accessed either by paved walkways; gravel walkways; paved steps; and the Orchard Room has a patio door opening directly onto the patio.
Trennicks is on several levels so may not be suitable for anyone with limited mobility.
