Trennicks Guest House Access Statement
What is an access statement?
An access statement is a written clear accurate and above all honest description of our current facilities and access to the property and all rooms, to enable a potential visitor to make an informed decision as to whether our Bed and Breakfast property meets their particular needs.
Entrance to the property from the parking area is through a gate leading to a gentle sloping paved pathway. Visitors staying in the Lighthouse and Orchard rooms then descend the 15 paved steps approximately 30cm wide and 15cm deep which lead down to the level paved patio and downstairs front door where there is a 10cm threshold leading into the hallway. The hallway and both bedrooms have fixed carpeting. Both bedrooms have en suite bathrooms with raised shower trays. Breakfast is served on the first floor, accessed by a 14 step fixed carpeted stairway with a fixed banister.
Visitors staying in the Harbour room enter the property through the gate onto the paved pathway which slopes gently to the main front door for the house, where there are two paved steps 28cm wide and 13cm deep and a 5cm threshold leading into the fixed carpeted hallway. This en suite bedroom has a large walk in shower. Breakfast is served in the dining room on the same floor.
All rooms have the use of several designated patios within the garden. The patios are accessed either by paved walkways; paved steps; across the lawn and the Orchard Room has a patio door opening directly onto the patio.
Trennicks is on several levels so may not be suitable for anyone with limited mobility.
